Timbertown Wauchope is a re-created timber-getters village of the 1880 to 1910 period. Situated on 87 acres of Broken Bago Forest, Timbertown bring to life the history and heritage of the area. First opened in 1976 with the assistance of a dedicated group of volunteers and the Hastings Shire Council. Timbertown is now owned and operated by the Hastings Municipal Council as a non-profit organisation all monies earned are used to pay operational and development costs. Timbertown has a few old fashioned stores, such as the Candy Store & pie store just to name a few, its an excellent place to visit with the family that allows everyone to experience the period just a few kilometres away from Port Macquarie.
